CPR’s largest Committee met quarterly in 2010-11. The Committee has recently produced a Protocol on the Determination of Damages in Arbitration which is available on the CPR website and in hard copy. The Committee has finalized a document on Guidelines on Early Disposition of Issues in Arbitration, which was released in 2012 in time for distribution at the CPR Annual Meeting and is presently working on a Draft Protocol on Preparation of Arbitral Awards.
The Chair of this Committee is Lawrence Newman of Baker and McKenzie, LLP. The Vice-Chair of the Committee is Ank Santens of White & Case LLP.
CPR regularly convenes this committee of in-house counsel, attorneys, and leading ADR practitioners to analyze, establish benchmarks and publish material on issues that are critically important to business practices.
The next CPR Arbitration Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 12:30pm-2pm EST (lunch available at 12:00) at the NYC offices of Baker & McKenzie, 1114 Avenue of the Americas.
