Sofia Kilmar

TozziniFreire’s partner in the Litigation practice, Sofia has extensive experience in Tech Litigation, having assisted some of the most relevant tech companies in matters related to the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Her work comprises all strategic litigation, from civil investigations and public civil actions to leading cases at different national courts. Sofia holds a PhD in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), with distinction, as well as Master of Laws degree in Commercial Law from USP, having been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich, Germany.

Sofia has served as a panelist for CPR Institute's 2023 program entitled "Online Dispute Resolution and E-Commerce in the Transnational Context" organized by CPR's Brazilian Advisory Board, together with UNCITRAL and University of São Paulo as part of UNCITRAL LAC Days and São Paulo Arbitration Week.
