Amanda advises clients through all phases of litigation, arbitration and mediation, and works closely with clients to align dispute resolution strategy with broader business goals. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state court, and before arbitral bodies, including contract and business disputes, renewable energy disputes, distressed debt, real estate and commercial foreclosures, and securities matters.
Amanda also has experience representing clients in a broad range of white-collar matters, including high-profile SEC and DOJ investigations relating to securities fraud, as well as internal investigations regarding regulatory compliance, corruption, discrimination, and workplace misconduct.
Amanda maintains an active pro-bono practice, with an emphasis upon constitutional civil rights matters such as race and gender discrimination, searches and seizures, freedom of religion, and prisoners’ rights. Amanda has also represented individuals navigating U.S. citizenship and naturalization processes. Amanda’s commitment to civil rights also is a focus of her civil practice, where she has worked with clients to promote equality and address workplace harassment and discrimination.
Before joining Haynes Boone, Amanda began her career as a litigation associate in the New York office of a large international law firm. Amanda earned her J.D. from NYU School of Law, where she served as a Notes Editor on the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy and sat on the Professional Development Committee of the NYU Law Women group. While pursuing her degrees, she worked as a legal intern at the New York Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and spent two summers as an intern in the Kings County District Attorney’s office. She is admitted to practice in New York.
