Haley L. Wasserman

Haley L. Wasserman is an associate at Williams & Connolly. She focuses her practice on international arbitration and complex commercial and civil litigation. In her arbitration practice, Haley represents a sovereign state in multiple investor-state disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”). Her litigation practice has spanned a broad range of substantive areas, including multi-district product liability litigation, government investigations, contract disputes, and other commercial and civil disputes. Haley has successfully argued dispositive motions on behalf of clients, and taken and defended dozens of depositions, including of plaintiffs, expert witnesses, and company witnesses.

In 2023, Haley was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution. She was also named a “Rising Star” in International Litigation by The Legal 500.

Haley graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, where she competed abroad in the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Competition and was a finalist in the Appellate Lawyers Association Moot Court Competition. Prior to attending law school, Haley worked as an International Trade Policy Officer for the Government of Alberta in Canada. She graduated from McGill University as the 2012 Bachelor of Arts Class Valedictorian.
