Professional Bio
Laura M. Robertson is vice-president and deputy general counsel, Global E&P and HSE for ConocoPhillips. She also serves as corporate secretary for the Public Policy and Sustainability Committee of the company’s board of directors. Laura has 25 years of legal experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to her current role, Laura was deputy general counsel, Litigation, Technology/IP, and Legal Operations. She also served as corporate secretary for the Audit & Finance Committee of the company's board of directors. Before joining the company, Laura was legal counsel advising on oil and gas royalty and tax compliance at Chevron. She began her career handling a broad range of energy litigation matters, antitrust disputes, and government investigations at King & Spalding in Houston.
Laura currently serves as the Board Chair for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) and serves as a Board member for the Dispute Resolution Services LLC of CPR. Additionally, she is the past chair of the Institute of Energy Law (IEL) advisory board. She is also a trustee for the Houston Ballet. Laura earned her juris doctorate with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and her bachelor's degree from Loyola University.
