About the Africa Arbitration Webinar Series

Building on the success of CPR's Africa Arbitration Day- New York event (an in-person day-long conference), CPR Institute and the Y-ADR Steering Committee are pleased to launch this inaugural webinar interview series which will feature new guest speakers each quarter to discuss the current state of arbitration in Africa, including emerging trends that may be unique to the African continent.

The Africa Arbitration webinar series will look at specific aspects of arbitration in Africa such as:

  • document production
  • managing the hearing
  • dealing with multiple parties
  • settling the terms of reference
  • disclosures
  • conflicts of interest
  • third party funding
  • enforcement of awards
  • challenges to the arbitral tribunals jurisdiction
  • challenges to the award

We will also discuss with guest speakers their experience with arbitration disputes in specific industries such as maritime, IP, energy, construction, and employment disputes.

Each program will include time for Q&A to interact with the audience.
