Established in 1977, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes the prevention and resolution of business-related conflict to better enable the pursuit of purpose through the CPR Institute (cpradr.org) and its subsidiary, CPR Dispute Resolution Services (drs.cpradr.org)

 

Position Overview:

This part-time, permanent position will play a key role in supporting and organizing the internal logistics of CPR. Primary responsibilities will include Board management, executive and calendar management duties, providing administrative operational support, managing the CPR store, assorted CRM data entry, and relevant maintenance. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills who anticipates challenges, troubleshoots, and presents solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the scheduling and logistics of two Boards of Directors, including maintaining the Board Portal and internal document storage with up-to-date information.
  • Providing support to CEO for meetings and scheduling. Scheduling for other senior staff and office calendars, as needed.
  • Assisting CEO with occasional clerical & technological solutions.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: 30%
  • Processing incoming & outgoing office mail, including depositing and tracking incoming checks.
  • Performing CRM data entry, maintenance, and pulling reports, as needed.
  • Managing the CPR Store: invoicing, email correspondence, and item shipment.
  • Supporting the Operations Department with general administrative tasks.
  • Supporting Event logistics, virtually and in-person, as needed

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and workload.
  • Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Works well independently and as a member of a team in a collaborative small office environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint) as well as Adobe Document Cloud/Acrobat.
  • Experience with Board-related management and/or logistics is required
  • Experience working with databases.
  • Prior experience in a corporate or legal environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Other Information:

CPR’s work hours are 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Eastern, Monday through Friday. Evening and/or weekend work is rare but may occur during 2-3 peak time periods each year. This is a part-time position of approximately 20 - 29 hours per week, which may vary depending on workload.

This is a hybrid position, and incumbents will be expected to be present at our Midtown office at least twice per week. CPR will provide a laptop for business use. This position may require occasional travel.

CPR is located just off Park Avenue in lower Midtown Manhattan. It is within walking distance of Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, and multiple subway lines.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and CPR reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, CPR or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Benefits

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $25 - $30 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors which may include but are not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including discretionary bonuses as well as various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, summer Fridays, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
