CPR President & CEO Allen Waxman interviews Jahan Sagafi and Aaron Warshaw
CPR President & CEO Allen Waxman interviewed Jahan Sagafi, of Outten & Golden LLP, and Aaron Warshaw, of Ogletree Deakins, on March 18, 2022 during the CPR Employment Disputes Committee meeting. Warshaw is the Committee Co-Chair. They discussed the revision to the Employment-Related Mass Claims Protocol that was released on September 29, 2021, version 2.0.
Sagafi and Warshaw co-chair the CPR Employment-Related Mass Claims Task Force. The Task Force includes leading counsel from the plaintiff's bar, in-house employment counsel, corporate defense attorneys and neutrals.
The original CPR Employment-Related Mass Claims Protocol was launched in November 2019. An initial set of revisions by the Task Force was released in April 2021, incorporating CPR's then newly-launched Administered Employment Arbitration Rules as well as other clarifying changes. The Task Force continued to work together to develop version 2.0 of the Protocol, which includes a novel approach to selecting neutrals and provides greater detail in describing the mediation process and other procedures.
