CPR Welcomes New Y-ADR Steering Committee Members
New York, NY – The International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), a global non-profit organization that helps others manage conflict in order to better pursue their purpose, welcomed 20 new members to its Young Leaders in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Y-ADR) Steering Committee for the new 2024-2027 term.
CPR’s Young Leaders in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Y-ADR) program educates the next generation of leaders from corporations, law firms, academia and other institutions in dispute management on the full spectrum of dispute resolution and prevention mechanisms. It offers unique networking and professional development benefits to participants, as well as an insider’s view into how to manage disputes to resolve them more effectively and efficiently, if not to prevent them altogether.
The Y-ADR Steering Committee is the leadership team of Y-ADR. Its members are selected after a rigorous application process and serve staggered three-year terms.
The Y-ADR Steering Committee is led by co-chairs Kate Gonzalez, Senior Legal Counsel, Airbus Americas; and Sam Zimmerman, Partner, at Hogan Lovells; and secretary Brigitte Kiu, Associate, at Hogan Lovells.
“Y-ADR is an important part of CPR’s mission to encourage and develop future leaders in dispute prevention, management and resolution. The Y-ADR Steering Committee develops a varied array of programming and resources for the Y-ADR program and indeed, the entire dispute resolution community,” said Serena K. Lee, CPR President and CEO.
“We are excited to welcome this group of high-level international professionals to the Steering Committee. They bring a diversity of professional experience, industries, practice areas, culture, and location that will enrich the Y-ADR program,” said Knar A. Nahikian, CPR Director and staff liaison to the Y-ADR Steering Committee.
The new Y-ADR Steering Committee members that joined in August 2024 include nine corporate counsel, nine law firm counsel, and two neutrals.
